All the hair that’s supposed to grow on my upper body and face has been redirected to grow on top of my head. It’s an awesome ability.

Well my "bokkie" is a good 15cm long now, want at least another 10cm then I start trimming, actually took about 3 months to get it nice a bushy, 2 months in I took some number 4 clippers to it to shape it better. That seemed to do the trick to get it nice and bushy.

Because I have a boldish spot on top of my head, I shaved my head number 1, in a few years will likely shave it with a razor, get a nice tat, and end up looking like a mofo some thing like this.

Went to the barber yesterday for my haircut and asked that they trim my beard and get clean lines on it by my neck etc to make it look tidy. Was starting to grow a bit wild and the snor hair was starting to go into my mouth

I nearly pissed my pants though when the guy was working with that old fashioned shaving blade thing by my neck. Thought this might be the time to message my sister and my mom that I love them and I had a good run .... but couldnt .... the guy had my head bent back so far I could not see my phone.:laugh:

Those things scare me, more so after I have seen Sweeney Todd

I get my beard trimmed about once a month, but I also had a mini heart attack when they brought out the straight razor, but now I actually look forward to it and enjoy the experience. As someone who used to despise getting my hair cut on any occasion, having the beard made me enjoy it somewhat more because its more of an experience.

We also used to go to Freedom hair in melville, Boyden made the whole haircut affair so enjoyable, you had a beer from hells kitchen while you wait for your appointment, had a beer while you were getting your grooming and then dinner afterwards, was the best system, but became expensive when a haircut would include a couple of beers

I really like it though when they use those small little blades they get out of the paper wrapper on the back of my neck. It feeeeeeelllls sooooo gooooooodddddd. :D

Have had a beard (mostly) for about 3 years now. Every now and then I shave it all off because I pick at it constantly and end up with gaps - it's a bad habit I'm trying to get rid of, I know. Growing it back isn't a problem at all: I have a full beard in about 2 months (as in BEARD, not long stubble - pity my scalp didn't get that memo).

Most important things I've learnt over the past 3 years: use beard oil, wash it with beard soap/shampoo, and for the love of God, find a "guy". The latter was the hardest part: I'd been to quite a few barbers already (and ended up clean shaven again after a few days because they'd ****ed it up so badly) before I found my "guy". He sorts me out every 2 weeks - just a line-up and 'tache trim lately, as I'm happy with the length.

@Ockie: yeah, the straight razor freaked me out the first time, too!

Ok, so you found a "guy" (was the hardest), that sorts you out every two weeks and you're happy with his length. Ok
