Grub UEFI entry removed..

So with my new SSD installed I went about setting up Windows 8 and followed that with Sabayon linux.. I figured it was time to try UEFI boot as my board supports it and so why not? ;p

Went pretty easy, no issues, untill I upgraded Win 8 to 8.1. Suddenly my boot entry for Linux was just gone. Now I'm not new to Linux but I am very new to UEFI boot an it's giving me a real headache. It doesn't appear that Windows actually removed any of the files as my Linux boot files are on a seperate EFI partition. But I really cannot figure out how on earth to get it working agian. Been trying with "efibootmgr" , I have managed to add entries but none that actually do anything.

Any ideas?

Hmm, got it fixed.. eventually. Booting off the dvd then mounting the system, chrooting in and running grub-install fixy thingy did it..
Seems the efi files had gotten corrupted or something, cos even calling them directly from the UEFI shell didn't work..
