So with my new SSD installed I went about setting up Windows 8 and followed that with Sabayon linux.. I figured it was time to try UEFI boot as my board supports it and so why not? ;p

Went pretty easy, no issues, untill I upgraded Win 8 to 8.1. Suddenly my boot entry for Linux was just gone. :( Now I'm not new to Linux but I am very new to UEFI boot an it's giving me a real headache. It doesn't appear that Windows actually removed any of the files as my Linux boot files are on a seperate EFI partition. But I really cannot figure out how on earth to get it working agian. Been trying with "efibootmgr" , I have managed to add entries but none that actually do anything. :(

Any ideas?

Hmm, got it fixed.. eventually. Booting off the dvd then mounting the system, chrooting in and running grub-install fixy thingy did it.. :p
Seems the efi files had gotten corrupted or something, cos even calling them directly from the UEFI shell didn't work..
