GTA IV breaks records

"Grand Theft Auto: IV" blew away videogame and Hollywood records as its creators reported Wednesday that it raked in an unprecedented $500 million in its opening week.

I agree. UEFA Euro 2000, 2004, 2008. Exactly what EA is all about. Making the most money. They'll destroy the GTA franchise.

Sony should thank Take2/GTA, because I'm going to buy a PS3 now, especially for GTA IV.

If you've played any of those games you'll realise what EA is about. Once they're assured of sales, they stop trying.

I think the fact that the game is so expensive makes it even more amazing. Especially with world economic conditions....that so many people will still spend so much on a game...amazing I think...

I am enjoying it - got my copy this week for the PS3... still getting a feel for the game - have not played any GTA before.

All i can say is that we get ripped off here... I got the game in Hong Kong last week for R450.. Almost half the price of some places here in sa... WTF...

Apparently it cost $100,000,00USD to produce. The most expensive movie ever made was $300,000,000USD (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End)
