Gta IV

Yes but the control scheme on a PC is much easier and fluid to use in my oinion, but I suppose you get used to the controller...

all my fps games are pc only - however GTA works with the controller... the targeting and aiming has improved.

hear your concerns - but seriously GTA work well with the controller.

i may be wrong:

Arcade has wired controller - Premium has wireless
Arcase has mem card - Premium has hard drive

FFS just go to xbox.com for more details.

I would recommend the premium.

Arcade (well mine anyway) came with 2 wireless controllers :D If you have the cash, obviously go for the premium or elite but if you are on a budget ... 2 grand aint that much ;)

LOL! I paid more for my PC and I did'nt even get a GPU with it! ;)

Realy 2k aint bad IMO, if you are just a casual PC gamer like me and just play GW & some other games Xbox360 is becoming realy affordable :)

I'll go with the wired controlers... why? so I can play all night long!! :D no need for a recharge!

The upshot there with the wireless 360 controller is:

a. It supports standard AA(A? - penlight) batteries so you can just use any old rechargeables.
b. You get a play and charge kit, so your wireless becomes a wired only if you need to charge it.

I was looking online and what I'd consider a baseline gaming GFX card, ie 3850, or 8800GS are about 2 Grand just on their own. As I said, the Arcade is a fantastic option for someone who jsut wants it for their "other" platform ;)

If you're thinking of swinging to Console as a primary platform then the Pro @ R2800 is still a great deal. The HD then helps for things like DLC arcade games, maps and demos, and unit comes with component cables and a headset.

...
Paying your TV licence... A pain!!
:p

Not if you grab yourself the 360 VGA cable and plug it straight into your PC monitor, which makes for a great cheap HD solution. ;) There's a lot of guys that play like that. I know a few guys who went so far as to install a KVM switch so they can surf the net while they're chatting in lobbies.

Oh, btw, the 360 version of GTA4 comes with 1 month Free Xbox Live.

That's it, I'm going to start saving for a better graphics card so long.

Last console I had was an atari, the one with the cartridges.
and the original joystick.

Unfortunately there's no guarantee PC will get it. To the contrary, after the Hot Coffee debacle & lawsuit, Rockstar appear to be quite averse to the platform.

There are rumours, but there were also rumours of MGS4 on 360...

I doubt they won't release to PC. Its always 2-3 months after launch they announce a PC version and 8 months after launch it arrives

Those of you that intend on buying GTA IV for the xbox 360, make sure you rather buy it at Pick n Pay for R650 as incredible deception have it for R730 !

But I guess, if they are the only ones left with a copy, and your desperate to have the game, you'll buy it at that price.. ;)
