Hi. What upgrade would you recommend from a R9 280x windforce?

Depends on your needs and budget?

What resolution and refresh rate is your monitor and are you planning to upgrade your monitor set up?
Do you need any adaptive sync tech like G-Sync or FreeSync?
What games are you playing or interested in purchasing in the near future?

Fullhd, standard refresh i think 60hz. Racing Sims and fps.

If you're not planning on upgrading your monitor set up then you wouldn't need anything more than a RX 480 or GTX 1060.

You mention racing sims, is Project Cars one of those? If so then I'd go with the GTX 1060 as you'll get better performance with the Nvidia card in this title. If you play the new Forza series of games then I'd recommend the RX 480 (8GB).

All depending on your budget of course - these cards are around R4000 - R5000 new depending on which brand, etc.

I'd not upgrade yet, with Vega around the corner. My R9 280X's are still fine for 1080p, only the memory limitation is a slight issue.
Vega will hopefully be better or at least make old cards cheaper.

I don't think Vega will have much influence on the pricing of the Polaris line up as Vega is for the high end market, we're looking at some very expensive GPUs.

Hmm....something for me to research now. Never heard of vega before.

Remember, there are two lines of Vega, one for mobile and one for high performance. The mobile one will probably also be able to make an impact on the lower end market with just higher wattage allowed.

Just some feedback.
This guy right here, one word, THE BOSS (okay two words)
