Some good news to celebrate.
Yes, we are entitled to celebrate the death of this scum.

Guard kills hijacking suspect

An armed man who attempted to hijack a car was shot dead by a security guard in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, police said on Tuesday.

Spokesperson Inspector Michael Read said the driver of a Toyota Yaris was surrounded by three armed men as he parked his car in the parking lot of the Academy of Advanced Technology in Durban's Glenwood suburb on Monday night.

However, the three men had failed to realise that the security guard who was closing the gate to the parking lot was armed. The guard drew his weapon and an exchange of fire took place.

One of the attempted hijackers was shot twice in the chest and died at the scene. The other two fled on foot. [send him for target practice so that next opportunity he has a better chance of getting 3 out of 3]

The security guard and the driver of the car were unharmed. A .38 Special revolver was recovered by police.

This was the story I was talking about in my Thread in OT...

Thanks for finding it Frankie. Was definitely a bit of sunshine to my day this morning.

Q - Why would the ANC be trying so hard to get firearms out the hands of the law abiding citizens?
A - These weapons stand to reduce their voter base.

Get his adress so we can send him a fruit basket.

Nice to see the gaurd was armed, ffs can you imagen being an unarmed gaurd in SA?

Thats like being quadriplegic at the 100m finals at the olympics!!

Glad to hear it's not only the police doing the good work.

Hopefully we'll replace Selebi with someone of higher morals, and then get more good work from the police.
I don't expect much from the police until they deal with the rot at the top.

I wonder how long Selebi will get his fat pay check each month - they need to bring this to a close and limit the cost to us tax payers, or he should have been suspended without pay.
