I never thought this would ever happen to me, but I must be getting old as the side view of certain new cars and they all look the same...this could be anything from a new Jag to a passat, but I'll stick with Jag!

I agree... a generic sameness seems to pervade these designs. I lament the idiosyncratic differences of the designers of old.

Could it be a single design consultancy being responsible for all this "sameness" ?

Viva the 50's, viva 60's ... bring back the beauty... sacrifice modern manufacturing convenience for aesthetics!!!

I hear you loud and clear...If I had put up a picture of an XJ6 or a Mk2 Jag, there would be no dispute...now the jellymould could be anything from a BMW to a Lexus to a Jag to a VW Passat!! AARRGGH!!

AND ALSO YES to no MyBB...just been battling to get in for the past 45 minutes or so...now that I have re-set all my internet connections the problem was probably MyBB and not me!!

As for guessing that car, I know it's not a Geeley, but it is one of those Chinese abortions where they copy as many designs as possible!! Rolls nose, and BMW/Lexus/Jag/Passat backend!!

LOL, it was the Jag Mk2 lookalike that first got me freaking about them a couple of years ago!!

If you are going to copy something at least try and make it look at least as good as the original, if not slightly better!!!!!!!!!!
