Guidance for extended backup, please?

52" doesn't really give make or model :p also 65w for the laptop, which is the peak it will use, so more or less it will be 30 to 40w + the TV being a 52" if LED would be 75w by itself, if it's LCD it will be 150w
They're both LCD

The LED part refers to the backlight. Older LCD's used CCFL backlights which chew more power.

And probably the reason his Eco "died" 3 months in...

The Pro2's now also come in LiFePO4 but are pricy.
They're designed more for camping type situations, than SA full on use is the issue.

The Chinese will start designing stuff for our need cases soon enough though, we're a big market now for power.

Oh we are getting them already, just people tend to fixate on the wrong pro's

Lithium Ion is energy dense so smaller footprint
Lithium Iron is less so so normally bigger in size.

for longer backup times get an inverter with solar capabilities
or at least buy a unit with no built in batteries, external batteries are a lot easier to expand

we always want/need more than we initially thought, or at least wish we went a bit bigger cause then we could still do x or y

imo points to consider
1 battery size i price everything in rands per KWh hence all in ones is useless in my eyes (edit unless the size matters for portability or maybe for aesthetics everything has its place )
2 charge rate since you need to be able to put it back to use it next shedding in a timely manner

output is a useless metric for most as to pull through shedding we have to sip power to fit in battery capacity, by the time you have the charge rate sorted you will most likely have more output than you initially wanted to buy anyway

Thanks for that

My biggest problem is whom to ask for technical advice as I bought it off Takelot Website and I don't know which manufacturer it came from. This presents a big problem when a problem is experienced and so far I am waiting for Takelot to tell me where they got the Product from.

What problem are you experiencing maybe someone has encountered the same

Seldom can you get good info from a lot of these sellers ie they just import/buy a product to resell knowing very little about it

Some sellers pick up knowledge as time passes and eventually become an authority

No Problem as such as the product 3KVA after 3 months is sound and works well. However should there be a problem or further info needed it helps to know whose product ( company) it was sold by as Takelot is only a distributor.
Thanks for your interest anyhow. Energy Tech in Centurian (Pretoria) has been of great help but acknowledge that Takelot will (probably) take no ownership should I need help. I reside in Cape Town by the way.

Yea my experience with electronics.

You need an out of box warrantee and probably nothing more, as electronics tend to fail right out the box and then outside the guarantee window

Other than that you will most likely need either a forum where people tell you " hulle maak maar so" or to change a setting

Or an electronics repair shop to fix or tell you uneconomical to repair
