Guild Wars Class question

Hey people!

I will be starting with GW soon (Going to get the Complete Collection) and was wondering what is a good class combination to go with.

I have read the starter guide on the site and am liking the look of an Elementalist paired with something else. I have always enjoyed being a damage dealer, so I would like to avoid being a healer type or tank. I read that Ranger is a good combo with elementalist.

So I wanna hear from u veterans of GW!

Ele / Mesmer

See the thing is a ranger / elementalist could be useful, an Elementelist / ranger I have never seen do anything good.

If you are looking at an elementalist primary there are a couple of option.

Mesmer
If your ping is good enough you can add some nice interupt skills that gain you energy (what you need to cast spells) to help feed the more energy intensive spells. Some handy spells for farming as well.

Dervish
Dervish has some nice armour bonus skills and some good healing skills that pair well with an elementalist's spells

Monk
When in doubt go for monk as secondary

Assasin
Has healing spells as well as some "teleport" spells that could be handy for an ele bomber.

War / Ranger / Paragon / Rit
I have not seen many of these around (barring ele/para with the running skill for AB). Given some time I am sure I could come up with some nice builds but they are not obvious ones.
