Guild wars Guild Recruiting

I think everybody in our guild are now playing on the Euro region.

I use a SAOL unshaped account. I never have problems. One does not need a lot of bandwidth, but an unshaped account helps to keep the ping stable and therefore reduce lag. The Nukecap unshaped VPN should also do the trick. And apparently one can play fine for most of the month on a shaped account, but I do not have personal experience to verify that.
 
Guild night again tomorrow evening - nothing special planned yet...

Must say we had quite a large showing last night - felt like a Guild night!!!
 
I installed the game last night. How do I pick if I wanna play on US or EU server?
Why does all the char in the game looks the same? In WOW u get diff kind of armar. cloth, gear etc. all char looks diff. ??

Hi

You can change your region at the character select screen. Think you click "edit" button etc. If you want to swap districts, you do that with dropdown box at top left - when you use map to travel to area you are also supplied with dropdown box allowing you to select district.

Well, the classes do look quite different from each other, and there are different types of armour to choose from as you progress. Unfortunately you don't have quite the same range as you do in games like WOW and SWG. Guild Wars is not quite on the same scale as these games.

Dye, and the different combinations of colours you can create is quite a nice touch though.
 
YAHOOO!!! I just received my copy of Guilds Wars. I cant wait to play! Sadly, Im going away for the weekend and will only be able to play on Monday. Slaughter, I'll speak to you on Monday (touch wood) about joining that Guild. :)
 
Need some help, just started playing GW this weekend, donno where to find the SA peeps, been playing WoW for some time now.

I played GW for the first time last night, and I must say that I was VERY impressed. I would even go as far as saying that I enjoy this much more than WOW. I buddy and me play together over a 56k dialup and the game is running smooth, with the occational lag spike. The game looks absolutely beautiful, in this department it completely out does WOW.

The ONLY negative thing that I can think of was the installation, which took about 1 - 2 hours with the downloading of the patches and Sorrows Furnance (I think).

Overall it was an stunning experience and I cant wait for tonight, this game is simply superb.

Will send you invite tonight! Tonight is guild night - dunno how many people will be on - A lot of guys seem to be away on holiday
