Guild Wars, questions...

i did kill all the minions but the necro was nowhere to be found by the star on the map... weird... i must have bugged it during the fighting... will retry again perhaps tonight... NPC's are seriously underclassed for that 4k quest... eish.
 
I did that 4k quest yesterday and probably died between 10 to 15 times but hey i got it done and it was alot of xp. Was actually fun doing that quest for you pick up alot of stuff and just killing all the monsters also give you lots of xp. I got two levels just from doing that. from halfway level 13 to level 15 ...think it was worth it.
 
LOL, I just realised I havnt done that quest yet! I still have it in my list. I tried to do it when I was in Lions Arch but I couldnt find a decent party.
 
Best place to start that quest is from Temple of Ages. That way you can have a party of 8 and it is also a shorter walk.
 
aaahhhh... now you tell me! :p

and here i walked halfway across the whole map to get whacked by the first bunch of enemies repeatedly...
 
ROFL.....i know the feeling same happened to me until someone from my guild told me to first go to the Temple of Ages
 
Heh, the first time I did the quest we left from LA, we fought all the way to ToA but we didnt enter. We went on and on untill we almost got to the Necro but by then we had a Death Penalty of 60% and as soon as we ran through the poisoned water we would die. So we quit the mission.
 
oh well... it pays off to learn some things the hard way... :p

overall with my current char i died 55 times... the /deaths command showed me that... around 12 were with Athena's Ashes mission and 10 with testing the road to Sorrow Furnace lately... ouch.
 
ok, whilst miles behind you guys still, got too Shiverpeaks last night and finished that mission. :D

Came across some Hydra's along the way, man oh man, i've now learnt too leave a pack of 4 or more hydras alone ..... them's are potent ....
 
Just some advise mccrack -> If you start seeing lvl 20+ mobs you are going the wrong way (if you want to follow the story in order), I learned this the hard way. A lvl 15 Ele trying to take on lvl20+ mobs.....I got owned.
 
mmm... i noticed that too when i meet some imps and other weird looking fellows... then the term "Rangers lead the way" kinda turned into dust. :p

I am def followiing the story line, on the brink of cracking the lvl 15 barrier :D
Was just doing a bit of exploring (i get sidetracked easily) and ran into the Hydras (lvl 10's), my level 8 henchies hit the deck very quickly :D

Supposedly so, i'll check it out on my next character ..... so much still to do in
this game :(

It sucks looking @ all these screenies and being stuck @ work :(
 
Lol, I know the feeling. What makes it worse is the fact that I get off from work at 16:30 and then still have to wait until past 7 so I can diap-up. Luckily I bought Splinter Cell Chaos Theory last week to keep me busy. It is a stunning game.
 
i also have to wait till 7 PM to dial up... before that i tend to practice my husband job and only pop in for a quick Freelancer mission while Egoli is showing... though i only play after 9PM most of the time.

Even if you are level 20, you will never make that with hench. A very experienced all level 20 party will have a hard time. They have made that path vicious, to give the runners a hard time.

My total deaths are: 607+266+184=1057.

I have also tried that path a bit and probably racked up 30+ deaths there. As you can see, I did a lot more experimenting with my first character. :D
 
You guys are giving me a vision of the future, Im engaged and Im only getting married next year. :D That explains why mccrack is still online at 02:00 in the morning :D
 
hehehe... now i dont feel so useless... :p

i wish somebody could make an Idiot's Guide to Gaming for Wifes... how the heck do i explain to her that i am in an instance in a MMORPG thus i cant stop to have the cheesecake she just baked? :rolleyes:
