Guild Wars, questions...

wow, what a night...what a utterly ---- night ;)

i felt i had to share this with u, so that u can appreciate the beauty that is ur lives :p

i played a game of bf2 earlier, and i'm working for my expert assault badge (40 kills in a round). I, of course, miss it with 3 kills. o, bummer

i shake it off and go play some guild wars


at hell's pricipice i meet a brilliant group and we do extremely well, we kick arse.
then, right at the end with the final boss, we beat him to within an inch of his life, and with what i am sure could not be more than 10-20 hp left, he recovers and calls a group of nasties and we all die. o, bummer

so now, i will go to sleep, dream of it and let my sub-concious deal with it :p

and 2morrow i will be back up and trying again

but for now, i just wanna sleep ;)

ouch! what anight indeed :( i unfortunately never got to play guild wars last night and this morning i am having a hard time trying to find GWF CE double bummer
 
@Paragon, not a good night at all for you, gaming-wise. Hell's Precipice it's critical to play with a good group. The last boss dies twice I think and is replaced by a doppelganger each time, so don't know if that is what you meant by "recovers".

@SC, Good ghunting for you. I would've thought the shops would have the game by now. Dan mentioned some shops that had GW, maybe they will have Factions CE too? Think it was BTgames in Fourways Mall and Incredible Connection in Sandton. mebbe check 'em out :D

The only reason he would recover is because you weren't attacking him on the circle in the middle. You have to kill him in the center or he just regens again.

Your best tactic for this, this mission is quite easy by the way, is to do the following.

Lure all the monsters away from the middle up the ramp you come down. Pick all of them off until only the lich is left. Make sure you lure him into the middle of that stone. If walks off the stone make sure you don't kill him!

@SC: If you hurry you might still find it at BT Games. They only received 80 copies and when I pre-ordered from them two weeks ago they already had orders for 50 of the 80.

I disagree with this. I have had him regen even when he is dead-centre on the stone.
I do agree that the mission is fairly easy.

Thus far I have confirmed 2 irregularities with GuildWars Europe (PlayNC Support) regarding Factions:
1/ The Death with Honor mission is being investigated by them. The main NPC char gets stuck in a wall (Jaya Bluffs) close to mission end.
2/ Henchmen / NPC AI and movement is lacking. iow, you and NPC's can block each other (especially in Bukdek and Wajjun maps) and when being killed and henchies are too far away / blocked they cannot find a way or figure out a way to come to you for resurrection.

An update regarding this:
ANet had an update yesterday (not very big), which included the above 2, and several other fixes / changes surrounding missions, skills, armor, gameplay, etc.
Play on!! :D
 
Yay, I managed to find it at BT games in Northgate as well as a zboard :D didnt take the zboard tho, cos it works out to be R200 more that from megastore:eek:

i did the mission again and finished :D

it is fairly easy with the right group :p

now i just need to get my factions and i can join u all there in cantha :)
 
I'm finding factions a lot harder than the original Prophecies campaign. I went through 99% of prophecies with henchman which I am struggling to do in this chapter.

I've also noticed that they have incoporated gvg type builds into monster groups. I got air spiked by a group this afternoon of 5 air ele's who took me from 350 health to 0 in under a second with lightning strikes.

yes i know, its scary :( now i have 15% open ROFL, this is going to take forever :rolleyes:
 
I need help with the quest in Borliss Pass, its the 3rd time we're doing it, those little bugger dwarves and the beastmasters keep killing us. Any hints and tips as to how to go about doing it?

The quest that gets u to frost gate, one of the main ones. Im going to do some of the other main quests so that i can maybe level up once or twice, then ill give u a call :D
