Guild Wars, questions...

Finally, I have Ascended. My character feels no different though and I still have A LOT to do in Tyria, before moving on to Factions.

Just another question to you guys, is it better to carry your character over from Prophercies to Factions or start a new character ? What are the pros/cons ?

I first played one of my existing character in Factions, since I knew that character well, then I started a new character in Factions
 
I'm usually online from 10-2am :D

weekeends I'm online on sat from 11am - 6pm
 
@fishfly: well i wont be playing guildwars again for a while. going away on holiday...when i come back i'll get hold of you again and then we can make a plan
 
connecting

every weekend i cant play gw due to my bloody connection. do any one else exp probs like this? i put in my pass word and connect then choose my char and click play........

then it start to download and then suddenly only say "connecting"

so every time i need to close the game and start over again.

ive got a 128k isdn connection and use absa as an isp..........

I would say ABSA is your problem.
Try and use GPRS and see if it works. I bet it will.
Or use a buddy's ISP (other than ABSA) details.
Or try another PoP number.
 
I need to join a south African Guild plz pepole any1 here have a decnent 1 i can join please...I have been searching for 1 for ages...

well i have been playing GW for about 8 Months now an yes im busy playing atm...well i play with the Paladan as im trying Diff Builds all the time.

Well to be honest I would like to play PVP As well as GVG but the guild im in..well lets just say im always the last person standing in a GVG which drives me nuts. So ya PVP GVG is great but Doing pve atm to inlock skills for the Assisain which im finding very hard not to die with!!

So please A SA guild would be nice as i could really commicate better....
 
Hmmmm,

I've run into the same problem as you today. Also 128K on I.S just sitting on the "connecting" screen.

EDIT: Disconnected from I.S (cheers 2X R9.50 Callmore) , connected to SAIX and voila, working again.

shank you interested in joining HELL?

atm we are doing AB (alliance battles) for faction points... we would like to align with a decent guild :D

as for pvp, most players are focused in the PVE as some don't have factions as yet :(

Sounds great man, i interested but im looking into the whole GVG An pVp thing as well.

Well 1 thing is for sure factions battles are really cool as well..so for th moment i belong to the luxons so any time you need some1 to join your wlcome to bellow an I will be there, If your keen on joining or making allience let me know as well, depending on who you wnaa ally with.

Hi guys. Got my ADSL sorted out completely yesterday so I'm up for some MMORPG action! :)

I already bought GW and GW-F like two weeks ago. Last night installed GW and ran it. It started to download the required files and once that was done I got in the game. Created my character (gonna be a Monk/Element.), wanted to run about a bit before I went to bed but now it wants to download even more files. :(

How many times will it need to download? Should I wait till it's finished before I install GW-F?
 
urm no it downloads all the GW-F content the moment when you install GW... your Dat file should reach about 2gigs once all the downloads are complete.

best bet is to leave your pc on when you go out to work/school/etc. It should download all the content.
 
Install Factions as soon as possible. It will save you some downloading as far as I know.
 
k managed to figure out the build needed for my ranger to be a trapper and a Touch Ranger.

Touch Ranger:
Attributes:
16 Expertise and 12 Blood
Skill:
Vamp Bite, Vamp Touch, Offering of Blood, Plague Touch, Throw Dirt, Whirling Defence, Dodge and Troll Unguent

Spiker:
Attributes:
16 Wilderness Survival and 12 to anything else
Skill:
Spike Trap, Dust Trap, Flame Trap, Barbed Trap, Frozen Soil, Troll Unguent, Serpent's Quickness/Quickening Zephyr and Dryder's Defenses
 
fishly you can always go to guildwiki and read up the builds there, they have tried and tested builds (the most popular builds) and then some untested builds but its a really good source of info on guildwars even tells u where to get some elite stuff or who to kill :D
