Ye, also heard about the 4-man trapper / barrager teams.
They go in the same at the 'new' Underworld in the Tombs, they will sometimes take a warrior as a 'tank' aka meat-shield :D

For the new underworld, when I did it last, the favourate team was:
5 rangers with barrage and pets. - no traps
1 minion master necro to turn dead pets into fiends
1 blood necro for energy etc
1 healer monk

I played the monk for the runs and the team clears the new underworld in just over an hour. The pets are used as the meat shield. A warrior would just slow things down, since he will get killed too much and reduce the level of barrage damage available.

If i'm not mistaken, necrotic armor's base armor is increased to 70AL (armor level) the only downside is that Holy dmg you receive is increased by 25. so stay away from those smite monks :p

kwl, just wanted to make sure my extremely mathematical calculations were correct :D

Hmm, maybe we should get Anet to give us a rank emote for each Mil of exp a char has

@SlayerChick, the different armors for Necro were discussed in earlier posts. Check it out. :)

As a baseline, def the armor you get from Droknar. Best armor in the game.
There are other places (Granite Citadel, Marhan's Grotto, 15k / piece ) that gives you status, but that's all, no added benefit 'cept for the "cool" factor. :D

Personally, I prefer the bonelace / fanatics armor (increases armor against piercing attacks) and tormentors / necrotic armor (highest AR but increases holy dmg). The above 2 of each (bonelace / fanatics and tormentors / necrotic) just looks different but they do the same, so depends on your choice of what you want the armor to look like.

I normally wear a mixture between the 2, fanatics and tormentor's.

I have never really gone after nrgy (other armor), if you put enough skills into soul reaping, you will not have a shortage.

Scar patterns: buy something which will give you a + skill and is which inline with your primary skill, i.e. +1 death, +1 blood, +1 soul or +1 curses.

Hi guys, i want to buy torments armor for my necro, but what does "holy damage you recieve will increase by 5" mean. Is there any enemies that can give holy damage??
Noob quest i know, sorry

Holy dmg is done by monks or any skills associated with them.
If you get the full set of tormentors it may come back to bite you (literally)
For instance, blessed gryphons and shadows use monk skills, (balthazar's aura, retribution, shield / signet of judgement, etc) some of those tree fellows (oaks) use the "monk" skills too.
They will then do you 'normal' dmg, +5 xtra dmg per piece of tormentor's armor.
I have never bought the full set, only wearing 1-2 pieces max of tormentors at any one time.
