Guild Wars, questions...

Has anybody succeeded in getting past the "Unwaking Waters" mission in factions? I am stuck on that one.
 
@mccrack, methinks you can do Ranik if you follow storyline. Ranik is specific to the storyline and the other main missions must be done before Ranik will be available.

@gkm, not there yet, so answer is no.

I had a mixed weekend. I def think the servers or systems are less stable since factions have been released. :eek:
I had 2 experiences when I was disconnected when walking into different areas. The map would just stay at loading indicating 0% percent and after a while would disconnect. :(
It gives a server error 'you have been disconnected' but can do everything else on my internet connection.
On another occasion was just disconnected while busy in a map (1st part of "Shadow Blades" mission)
Didn't have any login problems though.

Think they need to do some more work on the healer henchies, they take ages to res a person. :confused:

Also one of the missions in Undercity "The shadow Blades", didnt want to complete... the guys didnt agro, when they were supposed to. Think gonna log a call for this. :rolleyes:
 
I seem to get a lot of 007's when I enter a mission or a new area :(

as for farming I've giving up the damn idea... have too many n00bs farming at SF :( I'll give UW a try tho :D

Got a lot of kiddies in Cantha too this weekend, since when do ppl go afk in the middle of a main mission anyway ?? WTF :eek:

This seems to be more than a tiny annoyance lately, in both chapters. My wife got stuck trying to finish THK yesterday. She started playing at about 6pm and eventually gave up at 11. On every attempt, you get up to the keep and some twit says something like "here's the hard part... if you are not a full party :D LOLOL!!1!!11!" then drops off, followed by a 2nd and 3rd leaver, perhaps a 4th. Disgusting.

I only ran the mission once with her, just for security on having one less member that may drop and I was uber-p1$$ed. She had to sit through the same thing 7+ times. Kinda ruins the spirit of the game.

I was also doing THK last night and struggled with the same problem....
Maybe we were in the same group.

I think tonight we'll do it with some fellow guildmates and other South Africans we trust... So, if you're on and need to do THK whisper me (Kraathul Ravenhusk). Maybe we can run together or something.
 
I finished THK main last night though.

Still need to do the bonus as well, i think GKM also needs the bonus.
Can take a looksy later.

I hardly ever run missions with people I don't know. I have tried it several times, and my experience is that they either drop out in the middle of it, as you say, or everyone is simply on their own mission and noone has a plan.

I am still in the middle of Prophecies, but there's my experience. I had to try Aurora Glade mission more than ten times. Once I ran it with a partsy of misfits, and even before we got to the part with the pedestals, I had died three times. When I ran it with only one human player and henchmen (thanks ruslan), we did it almost immediately without dying. The same for Sanctum Cay. Several failed attempts with a full human party last night. Eventually gkm and I went out using henchmen only, and made it on first attempt. Thanks dude.

hmmm well if someone is willing to run my monky there I'll be able to come heal you all :D I would take my w.mo but a monky is better :D
 
ha how's this for all time best!

I did thirsty river 53 times with my ranger (4 months after launch)... why cos everyone that I went with was a bunch of n00bs!

The tank lures everything then dies, the monky doesn't know what healing is, everyone charges into the mobs and that screwed me over :(

53 fraeking times!

P.S if anyone needs help I'm online from 10pm onwards :D I'm kinda bored lately and farming has became a pain, pvp is ok, so I'll help with anyone at this point in time :D I also need a lot of the bonuses to get the title of tyria protector :P
 
Seems there's quite a few peeps wanting to do THK main and / or Bonus.
I've done it but told mccrack if I am on tonite and not playing Factions I will bring me Necro and help him with it.
Maybe there will be other interested players wanting to join???

I did not struggle so much with my warrior or Necro doing the main and bonus on THK.
With me Necro I did it with a guildie Monk and rest henchies. We did it first time, main and bonus.
 
I guess I should also look at getting the THK bonus on one of my characters, so please count me in if I am online tonight. (Gus The Wall)

Quite sad, that. Half the fun of Guild Wars, for me, was running with people I didn't know. These days you risk being pinned on the same mission for way too long which makes things quite tedious.
 
Here's a new one... I quested with a team and there was a guy that has his own heal and he tunes me "DON'T HEAL ME, I have self heal" and when I cast heal party he throws a fit and leaves... wtf?

Have you tried CNA or your local computer stores. I see it practically everywhere these days.
