Yes, you can copy the latest updated gw.dat file for them situated in your Guild Wars game directory.

Windows error while busy with GW

hi

can someone plz help me,,.... whenever i play gw time and again my system shuts down and throws me out this nice blue screen with the following msg
"W_R_Q_L is not less than equal" what does this mean and wot can i do to prevent this. it happens quite allot. my system specs are: gigabyte mobo 939,
4200 AMD x2 processor, 2x512 mb kingmax ddr400 ram, gforce 7800 gs screen card, i am using idsn128 with an external microcom modem. all my drivers are up to date. my system is not overclocked at all. heat is not a problem as i do have enough fans and are using an airconed room.........

plz someone help me cos i dont wanna reconnect all the time
 
Does this only happen when you play Guild Wars or in general?
Have not heard about or had such an error before.
What OS?
Who is your ISP?

mostly only wile playing gw or while its running in the back ground.
my os is xp pro
isp was absa but i changed to telkom and it happened on both isp
i already formatted my hd plenty of times

maybe i must use a 4lb hammer to fix this prob??

Sounds like a driver issue if you ask me. Try and update all hardware drivers as well as a bios update. Hope that helps.

Do you have any hardware monitors to verify that? I had similar problems (specifically with the Fire Chain Isles, as I mentioned on the last page) where my normally cool running machine would overheat and hardlock/infinite loop BSOD with a display driver error.

I'm also running nVid... The shaders and other fx ANet use do seem to give our cards some stick on occasion... bear in mind, they develop GW on ATi.
 
Those are off hand items, giving you either a health, energy, attribute, recharge or recast boost. You'll need a suitable one handed weapon/wand to be able to use these (I'm assuming you're an elementalist). You'd equip it much in the same way a warrior would equip a shield.

im an assasin mesmer...so i cant use them?

another thing i see people selling mini pets, can only ranger use them?
 
You cannot use the offhand items while using a dual hand weapon, like the daggers.

Anybody can use a mini-pet. It has no effect on the game and is just a nice decoration. Only rangers (primary or secondary) can use real pets which fight for you.
 
Thanks and where do you find these? Something about a birthday present...when does that happen?
 
When your character is a year old, it gets the minipet birthday pesent. Also, everybody who bought the collector's edition of Factions got one.
