Guilty for being white at Telkom

is this seriously the best strategy to deal with the retrenchment concerns at Telkom?
 
Meh.
They're a monopoly and Government entity.
Basically they're untouchable.
I don't see them admitting to anything, and if they are doing as the article says, they'll keep doing so.
 
And an hour or so ago, someone at Telkom phoned me for something - I was busy and asked him to phone later. So when he phones, I can say "So you discriminate against me because I am white and yet you want me to do business with you."
 
It irritates me actually the line that they are taking because they are actually putting more jobs at risk

There is a reason to be concerned about the BEE rating being part of the issue, but surely this should be used to show that the context is one in which AA related golden handshakes have lead to an increase in suppliers that are "white", rather than as proof of some sort of motive to cull the white workforce?
