I actually think there is room for English classes and more "diverse" students. Most afrikaans people will even do English classes or a mix. You can do informal conversations in Afrikaans and terminology(study) in English. Akademia does this wierd translate thing that actually makes it more difficult for students as they use normal English textbooks.

But politics will always get in the way of something more sensible. To protect the institution from corruption you probably need to keep it Afrikaans

So, once again a lot of the issues in SA today are apartheid’s fault.
