HA on mac mini

Hey guys
I have been running HA on RPI 4 with a sd card for the past few months and is working gr8, I have quite a few automations.
I tried the frigate and it just barley runs on it.

I have a mac mini 2012 version just gathering dust.

Would it be worthwhile to install linux and port everything over to my mac? Will frigate work run better.
will i just be able to take a snap shot and reinstall the snap shot on the mac.

Mine is running on a 2012 Mac Mini - I have the powerful i7 version, installed an SSD, and it has been great with standard HA baremetal install so far for over a year.

Yeah install it bare metal with the Intel HASS image.

No need to first go Linux.

Considering I run it on a Chromebox a MacMini would almost be too much horsepower.
