Hack a locked PC with a R700 USB Computer (or Raspberry Pi Zero)

Assuming of course that the machine is setup to use DHCP

This has been possible with a bootable cd\dvd\usb for a long time already.

Yes, Hirens (or whatever boot cd) wouldn't let you bypass bitlocker or veracrypt (aka truecrypts descendant) encryption, this could.

Or just build your own rubber ducky, for like $10 ....

....old attack is old.

It is , and you can write some immensely complex scripts to run on them :)

Such a long winded approach to a simple problem. Just give me 10 minutes with a flash drive. If files aren't encrypted I can get access to any file which is really what you want when hacking someone's pc and not their login details.

And if its encrypted but the Windows is just locked?

And if its encrypted, booted up and the no one has logged in yet?

How many times do people actually use encryption?

Not many, but that's their fault, they can suffer the identity theft issues if their laptop gets stolen, not me.

This methods shown can probably circumvent the encrypted hassle, as long as the device is on (sleeping as well?) and locked (obviously not if hibernating, would want the drive encryption password).
