Hacker fights extradition

I really dont think he is a danger to society... more to himself, but not to society.

Let him go and make a movie.

He broke a law in another country? he should be tried there

Use fuzzy logic here. Give the guy a shrink. I break American laws all the time when I drive on the left hand side of the road.

I kind of agree with marine1 here. The guy broke an US law. Let him be tried there.

We should stop glorifying hackers.

And he did it on US soil, same as if I send a rocket over there from here. I attacked them but because I did it from here thats ok?
Guy cannot be that stupid if he hacked the computers.

The US legal system is dodgy when it comes to hackers. He will probably end up being classified as a terrorist anyway and then he is really fooked.

How fair are the extradition laws between the UK and US?

The guy has admitted he did it.

And what do you mean by "how fair are the extradition laws" ? There is a judge and lawyers involved and there are is an extradition treaty in place with legislation which covers the process....

Personally, I think all he has to do in court in the States is prove he wasnt doing it for the russians or chinese or any foreign government and he will get convicted(righly so), but with a light sentence. Remember that US jailed a spy who worked for the Israeli's during the Bush years. One of their allies. They cant afford to not prosecute him, because then it becomes legal to hack into their military. In fact no country would tolerate it.
