Hacker gives iPhone 7 a headphone jack

all of which goes to show that courage had nothing to do with it...

Other phones waterproof the headphone jack very well (A5-2017 that I have for example), space was obviously not a problem... and hey profits from selling Beats, maybe that was the courage.

Rider - I actually own one a iPhone 7 and curse the lack of a headphone jack so that I can charge my phone while listening to music.

Just buy bluetooth earphones. Heck I got a pair of Chinese ones for R300 (they can now be had for R200) and the battery last a long time.

Considering how things are going I don't think the iPhone 7 was the driver for all this but rather the 8.

The 7 was just a means to prepare the populous for the switch, not really a requirement of space or functionality in the device itself.

At first I thought, but why? Just use BT headphones.

But it's about the journey, awesome work, really enjoyed the vid.

Same guy that built an iPhone by buying all the parts etc. quite a watch:

Doubt he refers to himself as a "hacker" though
