Back in 1997 there was an 0800 dialup number that was given to employees from IS with a pop user/password. Icon back in the day. After a "bill mix-up" and a very rude employee, I managed to ...er... acquire her credentials and enjoy free dialup for quite a while.

Back in the day all you needed was an 0800 dial up. No more R7 weekends.

I had an 0800 dial up number for a while - but then I lost it.

But I remember stories of people getting some hefty fines for illegally using those numbers.

Interestingly I remember a certain 'digest' floating around on BBS's as well as on the internet (relating to the S.A. scene), can't find any trace of it...
