Hello all

So since lockdown started i been cutting my hair zero all the time

now i bought a machine before but its broken a little and want to invest in something different now

I see so many different wahl devices but whats the difference other than prices.

Im looking at getting this

some are wireless as well which would be better but then you have to worry after a while the battery is dead

the one u want is good.
the wahl lithium cordless is essentially the same thing, just no cord ofcourse.
that's the one to get, but at almost twice the price maybe dragging a cord along ain't that bad.

yeah i saw the cordless is around R700

and then you get the pro ones for like r1500

im guessing the pro ones are for heavy duty use

I cut my hair twice a month , sometimes when im going out its once a week but now cos of covid its twice a month

I use a Wahl HomePro, tried and tested. No issue with their products. My grooming kit is a Philips, but I can't remember the model number as I am sitting here.

i had the same wahl i think it is

but there are so many in the range and have no idea whats the differences
 
I went through a few cheaper wahls and ended up buying what the barbers use. That all white Wahl multi cut at around 600.
Hasn't missed a beat in over 10yrs. Just oil and maintain and replaced blades once only in that time.
Still look new too actually.

You may get away with the cheaper wahls...

Had a couple of corded Wahls over the years but i found these to be sharper somehow. Wahl used to get stuck in thick hair. These just glide through. And decent battery life as well...

i have short hair almost bald so a 0 for me is all i need

so wont have any issues with thick longer hair

Prefer the wired one and mine's been keeping on keeping on for years.

That looks like you're paying the premium for the small clippers. Not a bad deal 'tho... Was in Dischem yesterday and the basic, eight-piece clipper set is R160.
 
They are well worth it. Can be used corded as well if you are worried about the battery runnig out in the middlebof a cut.
 
I wouldn’t buy a Wahl again.

The products don’t last and then the aftermarket support is shocking and basically blames you for it being broken.

But whatever you do buy wired or cordless with Lithium Ion and skip anything with an NiMH battery in.

Oddly I bought Dischem house brand Mondial for next to nothing and it’s the best one I’ve ever had.

yeah paying more for colour but it also comes with a beard trimmer that doesnt come with the other sets
