Half-Bridge mode on a D-Link DSL-2500U Router

Hi guys,

i just bought a new laptop thats currently running Vista Home premium. i use route sentry on my desktop, which is running XP Pro with no problems. i have read on several other forums that the router needs to be set up into Half Bridge mode for route sentry to work in Vista. I am currently using a D-Link DSL-2500U single port router with a switch for multiple ports. can anyone please tell me where to find the setting in my router to switch it to half bridge mode? anyone familiar with D-Link routers? and then please just help me out with anything else i may need to know about using route sentry in Vista...

They do. Its the default mode.;)

TheGav: Just set it up like you normally would with non-bridging options. Then create a PPPoE via windows to connect half-bridge.

Haven't figured out how to do a 2nd PPPoE connection though.
 
The router appears to be running fine in default (Half-Bridge) Mode. the one problem i'm still having is that when i run route sentry in vista, (and yes, it is the Vista Version) i get an error that comes up when i try and connect to a connection or set up routes.

"RouteSentry should be run as an Administrator to function correctly. Please close and restart the application as an Administrator"

any help/solutions for this issue?

Right click on the shortcut and click 'Run as administrator'. ;)
