Half Life 2 Demo

I've downloaded half life 2 Demo & tried it. Well, seems the flashlight is not working. Can't go anywhere if i can't see where i'm going since the rooms seems dark Pressing F key doesn't help. Changed controls to a different key with no avail. I must say this game looks a lot like FEAR...

i've noted this message on the download web page "ATI is the preferred Graphics Choice for Half-Life® 2!" maybe this is the cause

Try updating your graphics card driver. Or try getting the full game It plays perfectly on NVIDIA cards as well.

Can't see why would full work if demo doesn't work. Defiles the whole purpose of demo isn't it?

You never know, it has happened on occasion where I played a Demo, and it had some bugs, and then after I got the full game it worked. But rather try updating your video drivers first

HL2 was a pretty good game though. Dunno about the demo but remember that the full version requires you to download/update and activate Steam. Make sure you have a decent internet connection or I promise you that you will start swearing and throwing tantrums.

Hence many South Africans who bought HL2 also got hold of the cracked version. Its sad when anti-piracy inhibits your game even when you have the original.

I have a f*ing racing game that came with my gfx card that needs steam. I have spent almost 50 bucks updating steam on GPRS and the dam thing still does not work and Im nervous to download more. F!(*#^)$*%&%$&*(@# sakes!

Nope. no clicking of touch, no sound at all... So u reckon Half-Life is better than FEAR? wanna make a decision between the two

I would recommend HL2 because of the overall longer game playing experience.

I have both games and IMO I think F.E.A.R is a much better game, more tension in the game play...

Nah. FEAR was short. HL2 has much better replayability, and the mods etc are very cool. Steam is the only downside tho (but personally I don't have issues with it).
