I bought Half Life complete from steam last month.. Replayed HL, BS and OF, and then played HL2...

Do you think valve is done with the half life franchise? Must say, it was the best game I ever played.
 
Its my all time favourite game.
There has long been talk about them developing HL2 epp 3 but nothing seems to come from it.
The game has always scored high so Im fairly sure it would have a good market if they made a new one.
 
The ending of Episode 2 was just E-P-I-C. I must say, that Strider / Hunter battle had me on the edge of my seat. The last scene was just breathtaking, to say the least.
 
The storyline isn't finished. They will release EP3/HL3 sometime. Of course nobody has a clue when. I think after HL2 got delayed and changed so much before release, they decided to clam up on announcements until they had something of a more or less finished state to show. That, and they're too busy driving pure gold Mazeratis because of Steam. They need to show something though it's getting far too long already. My guess is it will coincide with a Source 2.0 release.
 
Half Life is awesome, but I cannot wait for Portal 3 which should be released around the same time oO
 
I heard that they are over the episodic content thing.. So it seems. That HL:ep3 will never happen... I only played lost coast and ep1, I'm still downloading ep2 lol.. Did ep2 end with Gman taking gordon away again?

I can't think that they will be able to create a next Half Life though. Think about it... The aliens were defeated at Black mesa and the Nithilinth in Xen was destroyed, and now th combine is gone.. How wil they create a next story? Will Gman take Gordon to another Galaxy?

Thats what HL Ep3 was supposed to be, The first portal game was supposed to familiarize you with the portal gun and puzzles, then in Ep3 you'd find an Aperature Labs' crashed vehicle (I'm sure it was a boat) and find the gun

But Portal boomed and spawned it's own sequel

What is portal about? Is it any good? I never got around playing it, it looked stupid to me.. Like playing a puzzel game and less of a action shooter game.

It might not be an action shooter game, but it's definitely worth the play through if your a fan of the HL universe

Aperature Labs where the games takes place were rivals to Black Mesa

And there's a project involving recreating HL1 with the current Source engine

So us portal linked to half life and do they mention Half Life in it? The models in portal looks different to HL2.. I finished HL2 today where the citadels reactor explodes...

By the way I do not have internet, is there a type of service that allows you to connect to wifi ithat is fast? I'd like to download ep1 and 2 and lost coast...
 
Oh and I can't wait for BM the screen shots look cool lol... But I think I will die of old age before its release.
 
Gabe Newell is so fat, he probably went into the 3rd Portal and ate H?lf-Life: Episode 3 :D :D :D
 
I wish Valve could give us something, anything to do with HL3. A teaser trailer, a screenshot, hell even a "Yeah, we're working on the game."

There are fps,rpg's,mmorpg,simulation,strategy,racing,flying,god sim BUT there is only one portal.

Seriously loved that game. Considering another playthrough.
