Halo 2 XP patch?!?

Hi all,

On my holiday trip, I managed to find a BT games and I ended up buying Halo 2.
I saw the "Vista required" message but I also remember seeing that there is a XP patch out for it.

I got it for like R100 brand new so I took it.

Now, I am wondering, any one have this patch?

Ok, nevermind, found it, had to get it via .Torrent (I hate those things!)

i didn't know there was a patch, cool beans. Halo 2 on the PC was a bit of a fiasco. the xbox version is generally considered to be superior.

I really enjoyed Halo 1 (never finished it) and I wanted to play Halo 2, but just never got around to installing VISTA, now I will try the 'patch'

You loose visuals (on somethings) apparently, but it's basically the game minus the VISTA extra visuals.

Granted I'm just repeating what I was told.

Halo doesn't really work as a pc game imo. it feels like just another fps.

Yeah, but I try look past that and see the story and game etc.

Works 'somewhat' for me.

Good to see you got yours working, I never had much luck on my XP... ended up getting it working on 7

I haven't got it working YET.

Got mine working with XP back in the day, now on Vista I don't have to worry about it anymore
