Hi guys,

me and my bro are going to test this tonight. I would actually like to find out if this will be using international bandwidth. If so is there anything else like it that actually uses local only bandwidth.

I have tried using this and the local bandwidth wont work with Hamachi, it needs to use international to authenticate with a server somewhere out there, I have also tried using hamachi with route sentry and that doesn't work either.

Overall its a good piece of software and me and a mateof mine have played CS using it with pings of roughly 50 so it works just not with local

But isn't there something else that will use local??

And does hamachi actually uses a lot of bandwidth??
 
what do you want to do?? there is the possibility of VPN which can use local bandwidth but I am fairly certain you can not play games over a VPN
 
Hi man,

I want to LAN over the internet but using local only bandwidth... Don't think I can but I have to make sure :-D
 
There is a thread here somewhere, I will search for it again, someone did manage to get hamachi working with OpenVPN using local bandwith, but it really is a quite a process and a half to set it up.

Will post the link if I do come across it :)
 
i would also like to set up vpn using only local only.i have to connect 2 or three sites and transfer small amounts of data between them .maybe 200mb a day in total.

any idea let me know
 
Yeah, hamachi doesn't work with local only. We tested a while back and couldn't get it working.
