Handover process overrated: Eskom CEO

Eskom CEO Brian Molefe says that the handover process is overrated, following the sudden resignation of Roman Crookes, project director at the Medupi power station.

Heard him on Talk 702. I must say that I do agree somewhat.

A handover sometimes causes the new person to inherit the same strategy as the previous person, which might be the very reason why it wasn't working in the first place. I'm pretty sure the new guy will get proper context, but a verbatim handover might not be necessary.
