Handover process overrated: Eskom CEO

Nothing to 'handover'. No one is doing any work. Generations will be long dead and buried, bones turned to dust before Medupi will ever be completed. Cold fusion will be considered 'old tech' by the time this is done.

Heard him on Talk 702. I must say that I do agree somewhat.

A handover sometimes causes the new person to inherit the same strategy as the previous person, which might be the very reason why it wasn't working in the first place. I'm pretty sure the new guy will get proper context, but a verbatim handover might not be necessary.

Exactly, we busy negotiating a nuclear deal while building the largest coal fired power plant :wtf:

Talk about a lack of strategic foresight
