I need some advice, first im on a TopUp 315 and i recharge about another R110-R275 every month.

I am considerting to migrate to Weekender at the time of my upgrade to avoid migration cost. But i feel insecure about this as that R275 I recharge every month is probably still gonna be there so its gonna be R135 plus calls plus data + sms's.

Besides my Mess of deciding on contract, I also need to decide what phone im going for?

Im stuck between

SonyEricsson C902
SonyEricsson W890i
Nokia N82
Samsung i780
HTC S740
LG KU990

and in my heart I wish i could pay in the R2k to get a Omnia/X1 (But I dont want a touch screen with no keyboard. i Need to type constantly - i live on mxit/msn messenger)

So now anybody who owns any of these phones or know about please recomment me how i should proceed?

Please do mention motivation over why you would go for the handset? Please guys i need direction before 15 March, And im in lonelyville so i wanna order the phone a week prior to upgrade so it is here on time. HELP PLEASE!!!

I just got the C902 on VC's Talk130 deal. It's a lovely phone, with slightly smaller keys than I would've preferred. The main frustration I've found after 5 days, is that the "cancel call" button is directly below the "back" button, which happens to be where Vodafone's VLIVE function was stuck. So you wind up accidentally activating VLive way more than you would prefer. I also miss being able to use the LED-flash as a torch, which my 3-yr old W800 does perfectly.

My g/f went for the W890 + R1,500 cash voucher option 2 weeks ago. It's fine for calls and playing music, but there's no flash at all. Slightly silly, when it includes a 3.2Mp digital camera.

Of those phones, I'd choose the N82

Vodashop in VincentPark East London still has a Black N82 on the shelf but they dont have stock of the black one :( Anybody get any idea where I can get hold of a black one in East London?

and those small buttons are exactly my problem as well.

I am currently using a HTC S710 now i was wondering, this i780 really caught my eye but its still a R399 pay in on my current contract.

If a S710 satisfies me, will a i780 "WOW" me?

not sure if it will wow you, but the i780 is a very capable pocket pc, it has the pro edition of winmo, not the standard edition like the s710 - plus garmin and samsung really bundled everything including a spare battery and a car charger. It's also very fast, no lags like some of the other winmo phones i've used... needs a bit of tweaking and then it's almost perfect. my main gripe - the keys are a bit small, it's not exactly a blackberry or a nokia e71 in the keyboard department.

i must say ive become accustomed to the S710 and i am somewhat of a typing god on it, however, the softkey top left on qwerty layout as well as the button needs some tlc and im too scared to send it into leaf coz im worried i might not survive with the loan handset they offer me :(

Has anybody ever sent anything to Leaf? Via Vodacom? Coz the techies in the repair centre says if it is physical damage on the buttons leaf will charge to repair?

obvious any damage on the keys are physical? (do they mean physical as opposed to software problems>?)

eish this worries me i mean keys shouldnt wear out within one year :s
