What I am against is allowing the state to have the authority to decide who is speaking facts, and who is speaking lies. Whatever lies you are worried about pale in comparison to the danger that arises when you give the state the authority to decide who may speak.

Even the thread topic is more informed than you are. It says "Hannity panel blasts Biden for pushing Facebook to censor content". Did the Biden admin pressure Facebook to remove content from its site? Yes. So where do you get your red herring from?

The Biden administration has not called for Facebook to be censored. They have called upon Facebook to voluntarily police the spread of false information related to vaccines, such as that the vaccines cause infertility, because such false information is causing vaccine hesitancy and people are getting sick as a result.

The participants in the Hannity panel discussion, folks like Kayleigh McEnany and Stephen Miller, are dishonest brokers, bad-faith actors, liars with a proven track record of lying, who have misrepresented and mischaracterised what the Biden administration said. The outrage amongst Fox News viewers is based on false information.

People should know better than to take seriously anything that is said on Hannity by liars like Kayleigh McEnnany and Stephen Miller.

No, they put pressure on Facebook to do so, that's not what "voluntary" looks like. Biden has already accused Facebook of 'killing people' in public.

Here's a question: why should I take you seriously when you do nothing but advertise to everyone what an ignoramous you are by refusing to acknowledge that anyone besides Hannity and company have spoken about this?
 
Imagine if the New York Times got sued for defamation over a Maggie Haberman article, and the New York Times defended the case in court by saying that yes, Haberman's article did contain provably false statements that damage the reputation of the subject, but it does not form defamation because the reasonable person knows not to take Haberman seriously.

That was essentially Fox News' defense when they got sued for defamation over false statements made by their most-watched presenter, Tucker Carlson.
