MTN-BHARTI talks ended;now the managers at MTN are no longer expecting big payouts and retrenchment...plus they are comin back home from India...this can only mean good news for us.

With an overseas company comes more potential for innovation and furthering of technology, whats so great about what happened?
Il admit i dunno what wouldve happened should the deal have gone through but i cant say it wouldve been for the worse if i didnt know...

MTN shares went up...analysts are also happy,no threat of retrenchment to employees, afterall is there any good reason to sell MTN?

I am inclined to agree with your first coment(logic). But if you take CellC as a yard stick, I don't see the Indian companies Innovating anything here ;)

Yeah, i guess not:(

After some careful consideration and analyzation of what was to occur ive come to the conclusion that im actually pretty neutral in this regard ey:o

Thanx snakepit, and Bharti was not actually investing in SA,it was going to buy a healthy company, enrich a few shareholders, rentrench quite a number of employees and repatraite the proceeds to India...not much in the deal for SA...MTN would have been a trophy for Barthi.
