My current gig:
Pre-patch 2.4.3, everything was fine.
On 2.4.3 PTR with the new 64-bit client, performance was poor -- stuttering, lagging, sound snagging, etc. -- so I switched back to 32-bit client. Same thing for the 2.4.3 Live.
A hotfix for 2.4.3 has just been released, claiming to fix the 64-bit issues, but the improvement for me is minimal at best.
I'm happy to stay with the 32-bit client, but the visuals from the 64-bit seems (?) to be better, and it's "better" to run 64-bit software if possible I guess.
So my question is -- is it worth throwing in another 4GB RAM? It seems the 64-bit client is working well for many people -- but some with top-end machines still report problems.
Suggestions?
- Intel i3-3250
- 4GB DDR3 1066 RAM
- Windows 10

- NVidia thing that I forget -- does 1920xwhataver locked to max 60fps fine, on 59Hz 23-inch.
