I looked a day or 2 ago for a GAN one and there were plenty websites with stock? It would be perfect. If there was one in stock anywhere... Hence my first post.

This arrived today and man, it has a surprising amount of bass for a R99 gadget. The built-in torch is also not half-bad, although the switch is tiny and hard to activate as it looks like a DIP switch. You'll probably end up looking for the switch (which is on the same plane as the torch LED SMD) and inevitably blind yourself when you find it.I took a chance on one of these bad boys, I figured for R99 it's probably worth the gamble. Maybe it makes load shedding more tolerable.
I've been using the Power up headphones for a year, for cheap in-ear headphones they've actually been durable and sound pretty decent, normally in-ears at this price point are terribleThis arrived today and man, it has a surprising amount of bass for a R99 gadget. The main body seems like it's made of hard cardboard, which means it's pretty light. I actually think this may be an in-house Takealot brand as I see the box has Takealot's address on it printed on the bottom fold. I don't expect it to hold up for a long time, but considering the price, it's understandable that some corners had to be cut. The inputs are quite good too; 3.5 and 5.5mm aux, Bluetooth, MicroSD and USB is all catered for. I haven't tested FM radio but the product blurb says it's also included.
The affordable price of less than one hundred Randelas means that losing one shouldn't hurt the wallet too much. This weekend, when my neighbours inevitably blare their music at 2AM while everyone else is trying to get some sleep, I will test the durability by loading a 10-hour loop of Baby Shark onto a cheap thumb drive and fling the speaker set to 50% volume into the bushes in their yard. I fully expect it to stick the landing into the shrubs, hopefully deep enough in that it causes a mild inconvenience until its found and snuffed out.
That's great, I love it when a cheap gadget surprises a person with quality or reliability.I've been using the Power up headphones for a year, for cheap in-ear headphones they've actually been durable and sound pretty decent, normally in-ears at this price point are terrible
No idea to be honestThat's great, I love it when a cheap gadget surprises a person with quality or reliability.
I wonder if Power Up is to Takealot like what Amazon Basics is to Amazon, as I see they sell lots of different types of high-volume, low cost items if you search for them via the brand name.
How big is the speaker? The reviews say that it's bigger than expected. This arrived today and man, it has a surprising amount of bass for a R99 gadget.
