No, its definitely 20000:1 ... I have a 2333SW I am using right now, and top right says 20000:1 ... unless they made another variant of it I don't know about?

And its definitely a 2333SW ... is doesn't say 2494HS on the top left?
If thats the case, I feel ripped off :/

actually on the far upper left corner it says 2333 not 2333sw.

I remember the sales guy telling me I'm hitting a luck because the 20000:1 didn't get shipped to them.

Well thats pretty cool ... didn't even know there was a 2333 (Not SW) model. Well enjoy man, they're awesome screens. I don't need the 50000:1 contrast anyway though :p ... I keep mine dimmed on the text setting, because otherwise its too bright for me :p

There seems to be a 2333SW+ model which seems to have the 50000:1 - I think they are bought in from Australia... although none of the Samsung websites show this model - strange...

I think maybe what is the 2333SW+ 50000 version there, is called the 2350 here to avoid confusion. So if it is a 2333SW+ 50000:1 version ... it is probably a grey import ... thats my guess

Where to buy 42" LCD/Plasma TV?
I know Game, Makro and Hi-Fi Corruption. Any other shops with reasonable prices?

my friend has a 2333 and me a 2333sw, his looks much better in picture quality:(

I would guess tweaks as well ... res is the same, only contrast is different. Have you played with your contrast settings?

And apparently as long as the contrast is above 1000:1 you won't even be able to notice the difference with the naked eye between like 20 000:1 and 200 000: 1

Ya, thats what a Samsung engineer once told me, but I definitely notice the better colours and brightness of the white between my old 2233GW and 2333SW
