Hi ToxicBunny and everyone who has tried to purchase the Dell notebook,

I am very embarrased to say that it was a pricing error, I wish that I could sell it to you at that price but unfortunately it is R1000's of Rands below our cost :eek:

I have however sourced a similar spec'd notebook for an extra R1880...and have asked our Call centre guys to please call everyone who has placed an order.

I do apolgoise for this and I really hope that this will not change your outlook of Digital Planet as mistakes do happen but it is what we do to recify it that hopefully counts.

Please dont hesitate to send me a PM with your number if you would like me to call you and explain things a bit better.

We did kind of figure that :)....

I never got around to actually placing the order (it autoupdated my cart before I could order), can I still qualify for this new "special" that you have at R1880 more?
 
Someone has already sent out an e-mail today indicating they are selling the A860 for R4599 ex VAT. They have 50 of them. If you get such an ad, make sure you receive the stock before paying. It's clearly someone who "bought" these Vostros and hasn't received the items yet if Karyn is correct on the pricing error.
 
And no worries, Karyn. Take2 also did a mistake about a month ago on the WD Caviar Black 1TB for R700. :P Actually, all their WD Black drives were marked at the 500GB pricing. These things happen.

The price they're offering it at is actually very very impressive.... Its not thousands cheaper than anywhere else.. but it is about R400 cheaper than I've been able to find it online so far.
