Just want to say thanks for the heads-up. I managed to get one! I went to collect in store, I see they are now priced at R1999.

Yea but it's not like the 850 is a bad unit. It's higher priced on sybaritic and it is an 850w fully modular seasonic psu for R650 after all. It's very hard to argue with that kind of value.

I was going to buy one as a spare but realised it only has 2x pci-e 6+2pin which is no good for today's high end gpu configurations.

Besides, my hx1000 still has 2 year's of warranty left.... :D

What, not what I read on the seasonic site...

Edit: Ok just checked again, seems I didn't realise there are 2x pci-e fixed and additional 2x pci-e modular so yes total of 4.

There's no reason to get one when you've got a hx1000. There's no way that thing is going to blow up.
 
Never buy electronics from Groupon. Those are no where near specials mostly (they are the same as Incredible Corruption).

I checked Galaxy Tabs before, price was R6500 and 33% off! Where the normal price in store was around R6000.
