Don't quite understand cos the 2GB is R349 :confused:
Maybe the "bundle" bit has something to do with it?
 
Makro have a special at the moment, its not on their website, i saw it in the makro ad in the star paper today so ya.

Fujitsu Siemens 750gb External hard-drive for R999 ... pretty damn cheap

Think they have it for R1499 at the moment

That is a good deal...Might have to take a gander down there today :rolleyes:

Edit: Just called Makro and the women said there is no such special :( She said there is a Verbatim 750 for R1799.....Then again she didn't sound like the brightest bulb, you sure you saw the ad right?

It's only PTA, silver lake, wonderboom & centurion Makro branches

HDD only has 1year warrenty.
 
Can someone help if you still have a copy of the Sunday Times which had the Vodaworld flyer? I'm told Vodaworld has/had a special cash deal on the E220 USB mobile broadband modem for 'around R900' (against the usual cash price of about R1,500). Anyone know, and if so, when it expires?
 
So 3 phone calls later I finally got hold of an individual at Makro that actually wanted to try and help me. I told her I had heard about the special on the 750 GB drive, she knew nothing about it (as did 3 people with the previous 2 calls) but after putting me on hold for 10 mins she forwarded me through to Wonderboom branch, they had 3 left, but wonderboom is like 2 galactic years from my place, so while out I popped into the centurion branch, only 1 galactic year from me but closer to where I was at the time...and bingo they had the drives, quite a few of them as well. 750GB drive for R999 is a pretty good deal! I find it amazing though that with such a decent special like this you have to dig so deep to actually find out where to get one.
