It can access shared folders on a network PC.
The Youtube app works well, although browsing the videos is a little laggy.
You can also plug an external drive into it and have it share the drives contents over the network.

Doesn't look like I'll be grabbing one of the specials as I can't checkout on Takealot's website. I have to login about ten times before I get the first checkout screen, and it always says session expired when I select my address. Every time. Tried two other web browsers and they were the same.

Managed to make payment with the Takealot mobile app for Android. What a schlep. Won't be buying from them again in a hurry.

Make sure that your PC's date and time is set correctly. It is also possible that it may be a fault with their website.

The fault has to be on their side. My PC's time and date is correct and in sync with the Windows time server.

Problem was on their side as a facebook friend was complaining as well. This was their response: "Hi Darryn, our tech team have now fixed this so please try once again and let us know if you still have any issues. So sorry for the inconvenience!"

I just spoke to my contact Graham here in Milnerton branch ,he confirmed that u can place orders on the phone or purchase in the express shop. it looks like the link you posted refers to an exclusive online offer.

I was so tempted to buy one as well last night, good price! :( Does it remember the exact point where you watched various media up to? i.e. you watch an episode or movie halfway and then switch off. Will it resume from where you left off next time?
 
Makro has 3TB Seagate Freeagent external drives for R1399 this weekend. I'm very tempted to get another one (bought one a few months back) but I actually need internal 3TB drives more. Need to start replacing all those 1TB drives in all my machines.

Anyone know who currently has the best pricing on 3TB internal drives?

Just rip the case off. All my big drives were once externals on special.

Esquire has on special, I'm afraid with the way the Rand is going it is probably the last you'll see 3tb that cheap, Got a Seagate 3TB for R1366 incl from them today even though I don't need it.

Yup, when you start a movie / tv show that you had previously started watching it will prompt you if you want to resume or restart the video.
