I went to order 2 of these as well, and chickened out on the registration page where it asks you for your credit card details and the page is NOT an https page.

Just too much seems wrong here. Prices stupidly low and non secure page for credit card info. Why do they need to capture the credit card info anyway. Should just re-direct you to a secure payment gateway like most eCommerce sites do.

Think I will sit on the side rather and see what happens to you guinea pigs :)

yeah, the first time I tried also noticed the non secure page for credit card details and told them about it, but have not seen any change in this regard from them. They obviously not too worried about security.
Anyways, you can change the http to https and it then using a certificate/ssl, so that should alleviate some of your concern :)

I ordered 2 notebooks and 2 SSD's using the corporate account option. Reckon they will invoice my CC tomorrow which suits me 100%. Will take it from there.|
Not giving them my CC details. Too dodgy.

I thought there wasn't any ssd stock, oh well :D these guys are going to wake up to a huge order tomorrow :P

firstshop is legit and I have purchased from them before.
They part of the First Technology group.
Those prices are crazy though, but gonna try my luck :)

Yeah, they are legit. They also care less to advertise products they don't have in stock and then make you wait weeks for a refund!!

I guarantee no one will be getting one of those drives at the advertised price.

Keep us posted...

Haha I hope to prove you wrong, but only time will tell. :D

Well they allow the migration

I used to work for vodacom. I've done this with all my contracts :p. Took them on the cheapest package which is the Smart S. They make the most money from the smart packages when you go over the minutes. Smart S package has a costing of R199 and the Topup 200 has a costing of R199. There is no costing move up or parallel. Hence its free and is a great idea.

Don't think they'll let u migrate, any who has had success, please confirm

The airtime you would get on a top up, you cannot buy data bundles with it

You can do whatever you want with vodacom airtime. It is yours. The only thing you can't do, is send it to someone else.

Does anyone honestly think any of those prices are right? Come on people, you are wasting your time.

If they don't honour the orders/pricing we will get a refund.
If they do... We just scored one of the best technology deals in recent memory.

For me personally, the risk/reward ratio makes it a definite worthwhile effort.

***Just change the page to secure (https:)before ordering. ;-)

I really hope they honour the order time if there really was only 2 stock left :D No offence guys, but if its correct - I want my hard drive :P

Well, still 414 of those Acer laptops available. I'm not prepared to leave R2k in their account for the next 5 weeks while they ooooh and uuuuh about their false advertising campaign.
