I've always wondered why printers usually don't come with printer cables. It is not like they are so expensive they can't be included.

Yeah that always p**sed me off, considering I am a student and always budgeted the cost of a new printer, then I have to fork out another R100 or so for the cable.

I mean if we can have a sticky on a thread about vista 32 bit & 64 bits keys because people don't know how to use the power of google :D then we should be able to have this sticky no problem :D

Thats not even worth a sticky lol..

1TB Fujitsu-Siemens External HDD for R1599 @ makro

Was just gonna post this. It looks pretty small as well - compared to the behemoth that is my 1TB Iomega at least :p

Makro also have the same kind of deal as IC where u can bring in an old PC, monitor or lappy and they give you a grand off one of their 'green' PCs...

hmmmm this is tempting.. although they only really sell fujitsu stuff, which doesn't really get me salivating...

My 3yr old 250GB Fujitsu-Siemens is still working great. Contains a WD drive. Wonder if it's still the case.

Well, all I know is that if it says x200 its rather fast...I think :D

That means nothing. I've bought a 200X Super Talent stick from them previously and tested it with writing >1000 small files plus a large file or 3 (>1Gb). No speed difference whatsoever against standard devices.

Not that I'm knocking the models which CD sells, since I continue to buy from them. It's just that this "200X" label hasn't impressed me in the least
:p

According to the Super Talent website:

Up to 30MB/s (200X) data transfer rate

So I'm guessing it is 200mbps not 200MB/s.

And i saw a 2gb verbatim flash drive at Clicks for like R90 or so.
