Until July 19 at any Incredible, according to their latest brochure: the entry-level Acer Aspire One netbook (A110) at just R1999.

If Linux doesn't appeal to you as an OS, spend another R500 on 1GB of extra RAM (R200) and an 8GB SDHC storage card (R300) to bring it up to XP spec and run the conversion with information freely available on the web. As someone said elsewhere on this forum, almost an impulse buy at that sort of money.

Just don't get suckered into lashing out another R400 or so for a carry-sleeve at Incredible. DisChem or Clicks have any number of reasonably suitable bags (normally intended for toiletries) for 50 or 60 bucks!

1 TB hard drive going for R906, 500GB for R564. You also get a free mouse and SATA cables.

Yeah I know. Its for a friend & needs it as a backup. So never gonna be hotswapping. And not really a techie, so needs something to work on the fly.
