:D will be doing some homework on these things. also watching the other threads cos I wanna get LCD/Plasma/LED soon. Most probably the former.

Seriously now, it depends what you want to do with it. For DSTV HD Ready should be fine only if your budget cannot do better. For the rest (Ps3/PC/DVD/BluRay, etc) true HD 1080p is the way to go, if budget allows it. I would rather spend a few extra grand to get the real mcoy than regretting it later. Size and quality is the big bucks trade off to consider.

Not really, HD ready means that the set can play HD pictures; and it needs to have "HD" (at least 1280x720/720p) in order to do this.

Full HD = 1080p (1920x1080).

And surely if it is "gray imports", then want-it-all should have an exchange warranty?

EDIT: noted now that it is NTSC consoles. Have2Have also has it, but cheaper:

Well I know of quite a few local distributors that won't take in stock not sold through themselves.

If I remember, Wantitall don't do warranty returns for free. Just ask Ap0c to confirm.

Surely eXpansys would be able to import the PAL version.

Ahhh okiz. I've been looking to spray the inside of mine black as well, but having failed epically painting a previous case so I want to get it done professionally.

I bought mine with the windowed side panel. I've cut out the honeycomb on the front and the top of mine already hehe. It looks hideous. A hobby? Lotta cash to burn as a hobby if you stuff up :rolleyes: But lemme know how it turns out.

I also mounted another 12cm fan in the front of the case, using 3 unused drive bays. Will take pics later.
 
So I've come across some insane specials. But because there are things that I want to get (and there are limited stocks) I can't just post it all. Besides that, there are too many to type out on my phone. PM me if you're looking for specific consumer electronics in Gauteng. I say GP because these specials are good enough to travel for, but they're specifically in Pretoria.
 
Hi guys, Just want to confirm - do you even get a PAL/NTSC version of PS3? I've got a few ps3's from the USA and they work here no issues. I think if you using HDMI etc you wont have issues.

Most TV's support PAL/NTSC

if i'm not mistaken, you get zone1 and zone2 or pal/ntsc versions yes. games however are not region locked and works fine on any PS3, but movies can be region locked.
 
I cant freaking wait for rAge to start. screw the lan im going for the ridiculous hardware prices. And the hot under clothed chicks.
