Wow you guys are harsh. Its called the Hardware Bargains thread not the act like an arse thread when someone mentions a special :p.

Might just go and check it out and get 2 or 3, at that price its a steal.

FYI - Regarding LED backlighting
I don't know if it makes any difference to computer monitors at the moment, but for TV's the whole point was that by using LEDs instead of a single light source, you can have finer control over the backlighting, switching the LEDs off in areas where the picture is darker, giving you much better contrast and darker blacks. Apparently makes a big difference on TV's where it's been done properly (eg the new Philips TV's). However, some TV's have the LEDs around the edges (Samsung's super thin ones), I dunno if it works the same in those.
So, not just a marketing ploy at all

Whats the point of mentioning a special if the item in question is a load of ****?

That's why users opinions and input is so important.

Core i5-760 CPU is out for sale

The Core i5 750 processor is probably the best Core based quad-core processor from Intel available on the market in terms of value. As it seems Intel just outted the Core i5 760.

The Lynnfield based processors can be seated onto a socket LGA 1156 motherboard and though precisely the same as its little brother, it is now clocked at 2.80 GHz, which is an okay improvement over the 2.66 GHz of the Core i5-750.

the chip comes with 8 MB of L3 cache and, of course, the integrated dual-channel DDR3 memory controller. Other specifications include a QPI of 4.8 GT/s and a TDP (thermal design power) of 95 W.

The product is priced at $209.99 whereas the 750 costs 195 USD.

The lack of constructive information was the problem. Give a reason as to why its poo.
