It's so new, that AMD doesn't even have it on their website. You have more info on them, like clock speeds and that kinda thing?

Maybe they are engineering samples ;) :D

Edit: Not sure why the PC Zone Birthday Specials thread got deleted, we should be discussing this stuff in there.

Tomshardware release some reviews today of the cpu, so now I believe in it's existence. ;)

As good as these specials are, I wouldn't buy from a company that didn't advertise their physical address and contact number.

Look and Listen has (had?) the same bundle, but with an Elite, for two grand. I dunno if the special's still running, but I think they said it would while they had stock.

getting rid of their old stock before the new version of what used to be the arcade comes out?

I am working around the clock on the NIVO back-end in an effort to automate our processes to an extent where there is much less dependency on somebody doing their job properly (as it never happens, there is always "I forgot", or "I was too busy", or ... !), so that things as important as informing a customer of the status of his/her order is done in an automated manner, rather than relying on somebody to do their job and click a button.

Sadly, our suppliers are not cooperating in this automation venture, making my life very difficult. They prefer to pay 20 people a monthly salary to sit on the phone and answer questions like "do you have stock" or "what is the ETA" rather than replace them with 1 computer which cost less than the monthly salary of those 20 people, makes much less mistakes, and it is far more efficient and reliable. Sad but true.

I must say this, I love your site. It totally lives up to its name - nivo Interactive shopping - by being super fast and responsive. Everything I do happens at the click of the mouse and it feels like there are no load times - compared to the other SA online shops at least. I must still try and look under the hood to see what gives it that uber responsive feel... Combine this with the quite efficient stock checking/product querying/error catching/etc etc system and you got yourself one heck of a win. Hats off to ya'll

I know that getting live feeds from the suppliers will probably not happen in this decade so I tend to forgive stock outages, it is being ignored or being given the runaround that peeves me off to no extent. But I also know that slip-ups do happen - just always feel like they happen to me all the time though. But oh well. Water onder die brug. ;-)

Better luck next time? :p

Got a call from NIVO. "We cannot get you the product you ordered [16GB MicroSD Class6], but we can source you the same product without the SD adapter though. Interested?"
Yay! "Will be shipped in a few days! :)"

But ja. Eish. Good thing that I did not get my hopes up. Got a call from NIVO, again, few days later.
"Oops, we got the wrong info or whatnot. That product is being discontinued. :( Cannot source it at all. A new product will be replacing it though - more expensive."

Tough luck I guess. Pondering about just ordering one from ebay already... And the class 10 ones are just crazy at R900!

Sounds like you had a rough time on this one. What about getting someone to try direct from Rectron for you. I am sure there must be a MyBB member registered with Rectron in CT willing to help? At least to find out the availability from them.
