As per kayvee's request, I've created this thread again but won't be posting all the specials as I'm sure this is why the first thread was deleted (and what a mission it was to type that stuff out the first time 'round :mad:)

Let me say again, I do NOT work for or own PC Zone - whatever information I share or queries I respond to are done purely out of the goodness of my heart :love:
The only reason I am able to provide added info is because I know the owners

If any of you want a text version of the specials, please PM me and I'll gladly forward them to you.
If you have any queries let me know. If I'm unsure, I will refer to PC Zone and then provide responses
 
WTG, charlie.

I am sure some people want to discuss some items from the birthday specials, it just gets lost in the Bargains thread, plus some would say it creates unnecessary noise there too.

So... who is volunteering to stand in line for me ..

It's their 11th birthday so they've been around a while. They have branches in Ballito & Pinetown (Durban)

Worse birthday specials ever! Most of the previous years had so many jaw dropping deals in all price ranges, this year it is so ho-hum once the netbooks are gets grabbed. Unless you the one of 1st eleven getting in onto certain deals, there is little reason for getting in a 4hour+ long line this year. Usually if you get in late there is still a chance of a smashing deal.
 
I'd rather pay the extra cash and get a bonus of better customer service somewhere else.

I've had bad experiences with PC-Zone and returns, had to return 2 wireless keyboards and mice, had them swopped out 3 times! :sick:

The owner just doesnt care when you have problems with what you buy there, makes sense, they need
to maximize their profit..seems to be working well.

And as for waiting in a queue for several hours, no thanks!
 
Jip, it's better to stay away from Sanlam centre on those days. Absolute madness.

Uraeus: They have good products and bad ones. I guess you get what you pay for.

PS: I bought an pc there 2.5 years ago in component form.(I like building my own stuff) It's still humming purrrrfectly 24/7.
 
If they had a better range and variety of Birthday stuff, it may have been worth it but it seems every year gets more and more Meh in offerings.

Yes, they are on the list, such as upgrade kits, etc. PM the OP with your email addy and a PDF will magically arrive in your inbox.

All the specials currently on www.zones.co.za are the only specials available. Is there something in particular you're looking for? I can enquire a price for you.
It might not be a birthday special but their prices are generally good anyway.
 
Soz, charlie, somehow that list you laboriously typed out looked way longer than the list on the website, by bad... :o

Now if only the original thread hadn't mysteriously disappeared....

Haha yeah, it's just cos I was able to keep a lot of the specs in. With a print ad, you're restricted with space.
And sheesh yeah, what a mission to type that **** out once. Doing it twice wasn't fun at all!

But alas, it's done now and I'm happy :)
 
Does anyone know where you could get a 6-cell battery for that MSI u130 netbook?
