My infamous Seagate 3TB ST3000DM001 died on Monday (lasted just over 3.5 years), so this external 4TB came at the right time.
Just hope this external 4TB contains the low-failure-rate drive which Backblaze are showing on their latest stats.

Nope. The Seagate DM issues were resolved quite some time ago. The 3TB DM drives which were affected badly have long been resolved.

Checked the Backblaze stats, the 4TB *DM series has a much lower failure rate (better than WD's equivalent). But the 3TB DM's are still failing quite alarmingly (albeit less).
