Have to share this. About three weeks ago someone posted (on a black Friday thread I think) about the Microsoft Universal keyboard that is cheaper at loot than elsewhere. When I happened to click on the link it showed the keyboard at R2. Immediately bought it, had to pay R45 shipping. Received the item yesterday, R47 in total for something that is now on special for something like R699 or R799.

And don't be mad. I wanted to share but immediately after my purchase I checked and the price was back to normal. So think I just got lucky with a pricing error.

Nice of them to honor the pricing mistake and not just cancel the sale like some other online retailers...

Was a bit miffed I missed that deal, then I saw the reviews and the useless battery life and I became thankful for my old faithful Ms BT keyboard that runs forever on 2aaa batteries.

This one? The US version seems to be very problematic.

Two of the Loot reviewers seem to have encountered similar problems.

So it looks like I also got a dud. Thing has to be plugged in to work. As soon as charger is unplugged the Bluetooth disconnects, so I assume it dies.

Amazing the amount of negative reviews on Amazon for the same problem.

Will charge it overnight and see what happens, but don't have much hope.

Oh well.

Hmm, mine worked fine out of the box - charged it a little, but used it for quite a while cordless.
Seemed to "auto-off' when you close the lid, and auto-on when I opened it.

Typed quite comfortably and unlike almost every Bluetooth keyboard I've had it doesn't seem to lag at all.

Edit: Just tested again after having put it back in its packaging a week odd ago, and still going strong with initial charge.
Working just as promised.

It will have to come via post, couriers won't air it to here due to the fire risk. Could be 12+ weeks.

Does anyone know if the Jan/Feb 2017 version of the stuff magazine releases this month or next month?

why are you guys just not returning the dud keyboards? maybe they have replacements.

Possibly wrong thread..
