Are those Crucial's any good?
If you are getting a Crucial ssd for a Lenovo, make sure it supports it. A lot of the Lenovo notebooks don't support the MX and BX range

Good choice, I did the same; can't go wrong with Samsung SSDs.Went with a Samsung SSD for my Lenovo Thinkpad.
Wtf do you do to your ssd's or bad luck just run in your family?Good choice, I did the same; can't go wrong with Samsung SSDs.
I had the following SSDs and they all failed at some point: Crucial, Kingston and another name I can't remember...

what is a good price for a 1 or 2 TB 2.5inch hdd. I looking to upgrade my laptop hdd as this thing has a 5400rpm drive and it kills me everytime I have to reboot it. can't afford a 1Tb ssd and I need the storage as it is a gaming laptop and don't want to carry a portable drive if I can avoid it.

You may find a bigger boot up performance boost from a clean os install and cutting out ALL non essential apps from the new install.what is a good price for a 1 or 2 TB 2.5inch hdd. ahh. well that sucks. The speed difference you will get is negligible.
how much is that? R5k?Get a 1TB SSHDD
might give that a try. bit difficult because I upgraded from win8 to 10. not sure if the laptops recovery will reload 8 and I have to upgrade again. You may find a bigger boot up performance boost from a clean os install and cutting out ALL non essential apps from the new install.

yeah I figured. thanks.A SSHD only has like 8gb or so of actual SSD and it caches frequently accessed items but falls to normal speed for other things. It is faster than a normal drive but nowhere near as fast as a proper SSD.
